A Heart for Giving

Giving back has always been a meaningful part of Sherry Gordy’s life.

​

Guided by both legacy and purpose, she has long felt a deep calling to uplift others and create opportunities where they are needed most.

​

Her journey in philanthropy began with, the Berry Gordy Family Foundation, where she had the honor of serving as a Director.
 

That experience helped shape her understanding of meaningful giving and the importance of supporting communities in thoughtful and lasting ways.

​

She later continued that journey through her internship at the California Community Foundation, further deepening her commitment to service and community impact.

 

Our Mission

Through the Sherry Gordy Foundation, the mission is to support the educational growth, career development, and emotional well-being of children and young adults who face economic, environmental, or personal challenges.

By creating opportunities that inspire confidence, growth, and positive life choices, the foundation is committed to helping young people move forward with hope and purpose.

 

Who We Serve

This work is dedicated to young people who may not always have access to the guidance, resources, or encouragement they need to fully realize their potential.

Through mentorship, support, and meaningful programs, the goal is to help them build confidence and believe in what is possible for their future.
